The fire-fighting stations in Alt Empordà

This project consists of a study of some of the fire-fighting stations in Alt Empordà in order to describe the daily life of a fire-fighter.

This project is divided in two parts, the theoretical and the practical. The first one, talks about the fire-fighters’ history and all the fire-fighter stations in Alt Empordà, the fire-fighters’ job, how to advise them, their equipment etc. And the second part, it’s the most interesting one in my opinion, because in this part I interview some fire-fighters trying to achieve the main objective of my research project, understand and live a fire-fighters’ life.

Presentation (10%)	Do you use any resources? Are the resources relevant and attractive and focused on the topic? Do they support your presentation? Is the timing 5-7 minutes? I have used a prezi which is useful for the audience and for us. I think that the time is correct.	10
Body language and eye contact (10%)	Are you looking at your audience most of the time? Are you reading occasionally from your notes? Are you doing any gestures / movement to hold the attention of the audience? It’s quite difficult to look at the audience and I haven’t done it all the time. I haven’t read the papers because I know what I had to say and the gestures were okay, maybe I have to improve that because I was very nervous, much as normal.	5
Structure (10%)	Do you organize your ideas in order of importance? Do you use discourse markers to make your ideas more clear? I think that my ideas were in order in importance and they were clear.	10
Content (30%)	Do you introduce interesting, NEW information to your audience? Is your information detailed and clear? Do you give / show examples? Is your information copied from a source or is it original? Did you look up information/facts/ideas in the Internet/books…? I think that I have give to the audience new information because it was a different topic. I only had to translate the main points of my TDR and explain to the class.	25
Language (20%)	Is your grammar correct, complex? Is your vocabulary rich and varied? Do you use sentence linkers? Do you use pause fillers? My language was correct and easy to understand.	15
Pronunciation and intonation (10%)	Do you know how to pronounce all your words? Did you check the pronunciation with a dictionary, a classmate or the teacher? Do you change your tone of voice or use a monotone tone all the time? Did you speed in a fluid continuum or with breaks and interruptions? Good pronuntation, but I can improve it. And I have tried to change my tone of voice trying that my classmates don't fall sleep in class.	10
