English Progress 2012-2014 & My English Competence 2014

My English progress from 2012-2014

My first post was an emailto my teacher, and my final post is called “last post of my life”. It’s difficult to see any differences between them because both are equal. If I have to find some differences between my firsts post and my finals post maybe are the way that I express myself. In the first ones, I was a little shy because I wanted to do it perfect, now too, but I have done a lot of post, more than ninety I think, and I have a lot of practise. So I express myself like I would do it in Catalan. That’s the main difference.

Between my first oral presentation where I talked about freestyle football and soccer beach and my last one where I talked about my TDR there are a lot of differences. I haven’t got the video but I remember these days. In the first one, I was really shy, because I didn’t like to do oral presentation and I always wanted to be the last one. In my TDR presentation, I thought, don’t be shy, they are your classmates, you have done a lot of oral presentations and wanted to do it first! The content and structure was really similar because I only change powerpoint for prezzi, my pronunciation improves a little and finally I talked more fluency.

Moreover, I was more relaxing because it was a topic that I had been working during two years, and it was my last oral presentation, so I wanted to do it properly.

My English competence 2014

It’s difficult to choose only one post out of ninety. I have talk about a lot of topics, and I have enjoy it, because most of the times, you can chose these topics. My best written I think that it’s the one called Yes, we could! Because I enjoy to wrote it. It was an important moment in my life and I wanted to include it in my blog. Another one that I really like was hard moments in life or something like that, because I show how I am. The content, and vocabulary are really good and I spent more time than with the others.

My best oral competence? I think that it’s easy to choose it, because I haven’t the same number of post than the written ones. I choose the one where I talked about mobile phones. It was an interesting topic and I did it with two of my best friends. We enjoy it doing this oral presentation and the result wasn’t as bad as I thought. The audio aren’t excellent but you can hear a good pronunciation, fluency and reading the paper (I’m not perfect, sorry).

And that is my final post, hope you like it as I do!

If I knew back then

Dear David

I would like to give me some advice because during all these years that I have gone to high school I have learnt a lot of things.

I would like to know some important things that will help me during these years. For example, my first advice is that ESO isn’t important. It’s important to study, of course, but all the marks that you get during ESO won’t be useful. Mark are only important in Batxillerat, so try to enjoy every single day in ESO because in Batxillerat you will be too busy to be happy.

I would like to tell you that you shouldn’t do all the work the day before. For example if the deadline is on Friday, and you can do some work on Monday, DO IT! You will study more relaxing if you have an exam at the same day. Moreover, you have to be concentrate in important things, because you will meet a lot of girls but all these girls aren’t as important as friends or study, believe me, you won’t get married at 16.

And finally, you don’t have to think that if you don’t pass an exam your parents won’t be proud of you, you have to study for yourself, so don’t worry.

So as a conclusion, I would like to tell you that you have to enjoy your high school life because they are the best years you will live in your life. You won’t have to work or you won’t have to worry about anything, just friends, girls and study!

I wish my advice were useful for you!

Last post of my life...

I have already finished my blog and this is my last post. I have comment about different topics, most of them football, I know, but if you have the freedom to talk about something, you will do it about something that you really like, isn’t it?

I have post my oral presentations, a lot of news, a lot of your-say, letters, songs, images... I’m very proud of my blog because I think that I have spent a lot of hours doing it, and the final result is fine. I don’t think like it’s a blog to show to other generations because there are better blogs. Maybe you can show it to all these sport girls and boys that think that it isn’t important.

I think that’s important because you have to read a lot of things in English, and then you have to write, and write. That’s the only way to improve your English, and I think that I have improved mine a little during these years. Moreover, a good blog can increase you mark, and I’m sure that everybody wants that.

Finally, my advice to the next generations are that they haven’t have to do it all the day before, because it’s very long and very hard to do the blog the day before the day-line, believe me I know it.

So that’s all, enjoy it!

Best of summer

2014 Fifa World Cup: draw and group-by-group fixtures

The opening game of the 2014 Fifa World Cup will see hosts Brazil play Croatia on 12 June, 2014.
World Cup is the most important tournament in the world. Every football player dreams to participate in this tournament. Everybody wants to defend the t-shirt of this country and won the World Cup.
Spain won the last World Cup and millions of people go out the streets to celebrate it. It was amazing. I can imagine how a football team can change the world. All the country was happy and didn’t matter the economy, the work and this things.
This year I don’t know who are going to win, because there are a lot of good players and good international football teams, but I’m sure that the show will be amazing. I will see every football match that I can on television because I will feel it like if I was playing the matches.
You can’t have any excuses for not watching the world cup, because it’s the most important thing in the world this summer 2014.

Review: Zac Efron, Seth Rogen in 'Neighbors'

Zac Efron is sometimes shirtless in his frat-life comedy with Seth Rogen, "Neighbors."
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Seth Rogen and Zac Efron have made a raucous, inspired comedy
  • It's a frat-house flick also about trying to remain carefree in adulthood
  • The critic gives the movie a B+ grade
(EW.com) -- Seth Rogen was recently quoted in an Entertainment Weekly magazine article as saying that there have been only one and a half good movies ever made about frat life: "Animal House" and the first half of "Old School."
I'd throw 1984's "Revenge of the Nerds" into the mix, but I get his point. Too few comedies have been able to capture the gonzo, bacchanalian spirit of the Greek system with some degree of wit.
Well, now you can add Rogen's raucously inspired "Neighbors" to the honor roll. It's a frat-house flick with more on its mind than beer, bongs, and beer bongs. It's also a razor-sharp commentary on desperately trying to remain carefree after the burdens of adulthood have taken over.

That’s an anticipated movie that I would like to see. I’m not a great fan of Zac Efron but I like the other actor: Seth Rogen.
A few months ago, I entered in the world of films. My father it’s a fanatic of cinema, and I have seen a lot of movies with him. Moreover, since I have discovered seriesly, I can watch any film that I like. So I want to see that film because like “Ocho apellidos vascos” I have seen announced on television and generate on me a little of curiosity.
I have already seen “Ocho apellidos vascos” and I really enjoy it, so know I’m waiting for that movie that seems really funny and interesting. If you don’t know the actor Seth Rogen, I invite you to see some films that he takes parts in, because he is really funny.

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Australia named the world's happiest industrialized nation, according to the OECD
  • Survey takes into account satisfaction, work-life balance, income and housing
London (CNN) -- Australia has been revealed as the world's happiest industrialized nation, taking the title for the fourth year running.
The so-called "lucky country" beat Norway and Sweden to take the top spot in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Better Life Index.
It’s a good question, if someone asks you: Where do you want to live for the rest of your live? I don’t think so. I think that I will answer in Spain, but I can’t answer it because I’m not a traveller.
But when I was in France, skiing or in Italy in 4th of ESO, I remember that I didn’t mind to live there. Imagine that you get up in the morning and you see all the mountain cover by snow, and say, come on, I have breakfast and I go skiing. I think that I will miss friends and family, but I really don’t mind to live there for two months.
I think that travel makes people happier. Because you disconnect from the society and don’t think in your problems, you only think in relax, like in summer. You only have to see people that come here to spend the summer; they are very friendly and very happy.
So I hope that I could travel in the future because I don’t want to have children when I will be older, so I will spent my money travelling around the world meeting new people and relaxing.

I have my driving license!

OMG! Finally I have my driving license! I have been attending to a lot of autoescola classes and finally I have my driving carnet. After a lot of hours doing theoretical classes and after a lot of practise I have it!

I remember when I go to autoescola with a crazy teacher that shows you how to circulate. There are some interesting things, but there are a lot that are very stupid and boring. I have to attend to school class six hours a day, and then do my homework, and then go two hours of class more.

After that, practising classes. Three hours every two days driving in Girona. Some days I had class at three o’clock so when I finished my school classes I had to eat a sandwich and go to Girona, after three hours driving, go to sleep? No! Go training. And then some classes on morning, because there are a lot of people that want the driving carnet and you have to accept the few classes that you can do during the week.

But finally, I have it. Maybe some people think that isn’t important but I think so. For example if you are in Castelló and you want to go to the beach you need it. Car gives you more freedom, and it’s good way to attract girls...!

And that's my little red Ferrari!

Interview with Pedro Ramos

Pedro Ramos was born in Madrid in 1972. He studied economists and law in the Madrid University and today he is one of the best in his profession. I don’t know what I’m going to study next year, so I would like to talk with him trying to know if he could help me.

Do you think that’s it’s an interesting career?

Yes of course, it’s very interesting because money it’s one of the main important things in the world, and you will find places of work in a lot of companies. Moreover, law it’s interesting and important too, because you can work as a lawyer or judge.

It’s difficult to study both careers at the same time?

Yes of course, it’s difficult. You will have to eliminate some things in your life and be concentrate only in your career. But all this sacrifice will bring you stability and a good job in the future.

How is your life today?

I’m very glad of my life. I have studied very hard and now I have a good job. Moreover, some tv programmes invite me because they want to know my opinion about economy. So I’m very happy to have studied this career and I hope that you studied a career that you like it and bring you happiness.

Everybody loves eat. I love eat everything, except green food, that I think that it’s for animals. I like to eat fruit, hamburgers, pasta, legumes, pizza...

And I’m a little angry when I see the modern or futurist food. Why? Because that’s not food! There are a lot of famous restaurants that are very prestigious internationally, but in a lot of them, you will have to eat 40 plates to be satisfied.

There are some restaurants that give you a little piece of food, and said: ten euros, please. And I think that you can’t eat the plate so that’s a bad business. With ten euros, I can go to mcDonals, and eat 10 hamburguers!!

I don’t know, I’m the kind of person that prefer to go to a simply restaurant, where you can eat a big piece of meat or fish or whatever you like than go to a futurist restaurant and bring bread from your house because when you finish to eat you are still hungry.

Finally I want to include that there are four spanish restaurants in the top ten, so I'm very proud of my country!

A new idol for me

There are a lot of good football players around the world and it’s difficult to choose one as the best. Majority of people, like forwards because they are the ones that scores the goals, that it’s the magic of football. But since I was little, I like the people who stop the forwards, the backs.

There a lot of good backs, some of them are very aggressive and other ones have a great control of the ball. Since this season started, I saw Real Madrid backs, and I want to be like one of them. A lot of people criticise him because maybe he isn’t the most clever football player in the world, but I’m not looking that, I’m looking him when he plays. Because a football player doesn't have to know facts and dates, he only has to do his job.

That’s why I say that the good football players speak on the field. You only have to see how he plays and you see what I am talking about. He is like my favourite football player, Carles Puyol, but more technical, faster.. It’s a Carles Puyol 2.0. So now I share this video that I often see before my football matches and help me to do my work.

Most exciting football match ever?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Costa
1 May 2014Last updated at 12:55 GMT

Champions League final: Spanish football is already the winner

The build-up to the first Champions League final between two teams from the same city will whet the appetite with a host of fascinating storylines.
Real Madrid's need to replace the suspended Xabi Alonso;  Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Lisbon; Gareth Bale aiming to end his first season in Spain with the ultimate prize; Atletico Madrid potentially completing a sensational double; Diego Simeone furthering his reputation as Europe's most in-demand manager; Diego Costa's bid for glory in possibly his last game for Atletico... there are enough sub-plots to fill a Shakespeare play.
As far as fans and media in Spain are concerned, however, one factor looms large above all others: 'La Decima' - the 10th.

It’s very difficult that two football teams from the same country play the final of the Champions League. So it’s more difficult that two football teams that are from the same city play the final, isn’t it? So that will happen.
Real Madrid and Atletico will play the final of the second most important competition of the world; the first one is the world cup, of course. I don’t know who will be the winner and that’s the magic of football: Real Madrid wants to win the 10th European title, and Atletico wants to make history!
So I don’t know, I hope that everybody enjoys this match because it will be exciting, even though your favourite football team don’t take part in. So if I have to bet money, I will say that Real Madrid will win 2-1, Sergio Ramos and Ronaldo will score for Madrid and Diego Costa for Atletico.

Stop racism!

Barcelona's Dani Alves ate banana at Villarreal

Dani Alves: Villarreal fined £9,850 for banana throw racism

Villarreal have been fined €12,000 (£9,850) by the Spanish Football Federation after a fan threw a banana at Barcelona defender Dani Alves.
The Brazilian, 30, picked up the banana and took a bite as he prepared to take a corner in the La Liga match between the sides last month.
"We have accepted the €12,000 fine," a Villarreal spokesman told Reuters.
"The federation were though pleased with the quick and positive action that the club took by identifying the fan."

As everybody knows, I’m a sick of football and I hate this situations because make me angry. Some retarded threw to the Villareal’s field a banana to Alves. This “funny man” is identified and now he will never return to a football stadium.
I’m very happy because Dani Alves solve this situation with humours. As the news said, he eats the banana and continues playing. He doesn’t matter what stupid people think and I think that everybody have to be like him. You don’t have to accept racism; you have to be against it. Next days, a lot of football players, famous people of other sports and a lot of football fans, share their photos on facebook, twitter and instagram supporting Dani Alves.

Where are human rights?

This video shows that human rights aren’t respected today. In Russia, there are many cases that people don’t respect de sexuality of the others. In this video, we can see that there are a lot of people that are homophobic. What surprises me more is the moment that this guy says that the police tell to him that it’s normal that people kick him because she is gay.

I think that in every country we can find people who don’t respect sexuality of the others. But there are a lot of things that people don’t respect. Last week, I saw a video that shows that Barcelona fans forced a guy from Madrid to hide his t-shirt because they didn’t like it. What’s next? People can’t go out to street because they don’t think like the others?

It’s sad that some people abuse from the others because they think different, it doesn’t mind if you love men, women or both, it doesn’t mind if you are a Barcelona or Madrid supporter and it doesn’t mind if you love Sponge Bob or Teletubbies, YOU ONLY HAVE TO RESPECT TE OTHERS, and if you think that some people aren’t respectful with the others, you can’t think that it’s their problem, you have to do something, you have to report it and fight for a world more equal!
