London (CNN) -- Get dialing for your reservation now: Noma in Copenhagen has been named the world's best restaurant at a ceremony revealing the planet's top 50 dining venues.
To raucous cheers, high fives, hugs and kisses, team Noma took to the stage in a packed London venue in jubilant scenes that wouldn't be out of place at the World Cup in Brazil later this year.
Everybody
loves eat. I love eat everything, except green food, that I think that it’s for
animals. I like to eat fruit, hamburgers, pasta, legumes, pizza...
And
I’m a little angry when I see the modern or futurist food. Why? Because that’s
not food! There are a lot of famous restaurants that are very prestigious internationally,
but in a lot of them, you will have to eat 40 plates to be satisfied.
There
are some restaurants that give you a little piece of food, and said: ten euros,
please. And I think that you can’t eat the plate so that’s a bad business. With
ten euros, I can go to mcDonals, and eat 10 hamburguers!!
I
don’t know, I’m the kind of person that prefer to go to a simply restaurant,
where you can eat a big piece of meat or fish or whatever you like than go to a
futurist restaurant and bring bread from your house because when you finish to
eat you are still hungry.
Finally I want to include that there are four spanish restaurants in the top ten, so I'm very proud of my country!
Copenhagen's Noma restaurant won top honors in the prestigious San Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards, bumping last year's winner, Spain's El Celler de Can Roca, into second place.
