New York train crash: Metro-North derailment in Bronx
Four people have been killed and 63 injured in a passenger train crash in the Bronx area of New York City.
Eleven of the injured are believed to be in a critical condition in hospital.
The Metro-North train's locomotive and carriages derailed as the train went into a bend in the railway line near Spuyten Duyvil station.
At least one eyewitness said the train - the 05:54 from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central Station - was travelling much faster than normal at the time.
When I have seen this new, I have
think about the same case that happened two months ago in Spain. The new says
that, like Spain, the train was going much faster than the normal. I don’t know
what to think, because I’m not a train driver, but why that train went so fast?
If you are late, you only have to leave the train station before, o communicate
to the next station that you will be late, but you have the life of a lot of people
on your hands, and you have to be responsible.
Finally I only can send a lot of encouragement
to the affected families.
