Lance Armstrong 'must return Tour de France prize money'
Lance Armstrong should have to repay his Tour de France winnings after being stripped of his seven titles, says race director Christian Prudhomme.
The American has 3.78m followers on the social networking site.
The UCI accepted the findings of the United States Anti-Doping Agency's (Usada)investigation into systematic doping and called for Armstrong "to be forgotten".
Armstrong has also been asked to return $7.5m in bonuses to Texas insurance company SCA Promotions.
I'm
very impressed with that news. I'm not a fan about cycling but I admire how
these people can ride a bike during 300 km a day. I think that Lance Armstrong was
a hero for a millions of people, and this people admired him, and what he has
done.
But
a month ago, the UCI accepted the findings of
the United States Anti-Doping Agency's and confirmed that this cycling
star has doped in the tours. This news has travel around the world in a few
seconds, and the people are very disappointed with him.
I don’t remember his name, but one day, a week ago maybe, my father
recommended me news that he has read in a magazine. In this magazine, appears a
Spanish cyclist, who says that all the cyclists dope before a race, because it’s
impossible to ride 200km in a day. And he recognized that he has doped in all the
races that he has participated on, and he says too that the difference between
each cyclist is the product that they use for dope them, and the doctors who
recommend these products.
If that’s true, I will be very disappointment with this sport, because I
not only admire the winner of the race, I admire all the participants who have
the courage to do 200km riding a bike in one day.
